Ferrell, whose reputation for beautiful hairstyles won her the position of hair designer for the acclaimed film, Daughters of the Dust, and the television movie, Out Of Darkness, frequently serves as a consultant and stylist for the magazine, music, and film industries.

Ferrell, a dedicated activist, is also a doctor of naturopathy who practices holistic hair care.
